Why I Show Up: “I came across Showing Up by accident, but now I can’t imagine my life without it. Whether it is family, friends, coworkers or students, there are so many people around me that are hurting or lonely. Through Showing Up, I have learned to quiet the voice in my head that says, “don’t get involved”, and I learned tangible skills to show comfort and connection to those in need. With so many people hurting around us, how can I not Show Up, even if I can bring comfort in a tiny way for a brief time, I want to do it. And honestly, it feels so good to help, if even for a moment.”

Holly Reisman, Ph.D.
